Battleship

SF: I like trashy action and have a high tolerance for big budget special effects with no plot so Battleship was right up my alley. It does take a while to get going but once they flipped the cheesy switch I was giggling away and found myself entertained. Also thank you for not releasing this in 3D. Don't take it seriously and you might enjoy it too. 5.5/10

50 Eggs: The trailer featured Rhiana uttering the dialogue 'Boom'. I did not go to watch this movie. n/a

DonkeyB: Not so bad it's good. 3/10

John Carter

SF: This did what it said on the tin. A standard fun, action adventure. Alright for a Sunday afternoon in front of the TV with your slippers on but for the cinema? Well it was pretty long so my patience was running a bit thin. The 3D was unnoticeable (but I've already ranted about that on my main blog). I wasn't expecting a plot, this isn't Shakespeare but this was alright. On the whole rather average so 5/10.

50 Eggs: It's not often I get to say 'Attack of the Clones did it better', but that certainly applies to this film. The trailers looked amazing but it turns out that the action is as humdrum as the story. 100 years in the making apparently. I could've waited longer. 5.5/10
