SF: Different approach to Sci-fi - well executed, right blend of humour and tension. Keeps you guessing and entertained. 7/10

50 Eggs: Cheap British Sci-fi, but managing to make you root for utter scumbag youth says something about the strength of the script and actors. 7/10

SF: I can't be impartial because I adore Thor, so naturally I loved every second of my marvel hero in the flesh. Lovely nod to Hawkeye too. 7.5/10

50 Eggs: Annoying film making where by far the best sequence of the entire film is right at the start. But apart from that its fine and nice to look at. Good to see Natalie Portman trying new things too. 7.5/10

SF: it had everything I wanted, a half okay plot, lots of fights and guns and cars. 7/10

50 Eggs: Big surprise as this is actual pretty good! A little long and a few dead ends, but good fun and you really can smell what the Rock is cooking. 7.5/10

DonkeyB: Boring. No-one who liked cars would desecrate an original GT40 by putting in satnav. 4/10

SF: I was at a loss with this one- think Krull meets Pineapple Express. I still don't know if I liked it as every now and again it just went too far, so a neutral score. 5/10

50 Eggs: A weird mix of puerile comedy and sometimes quite good Fantasy. It made me laugh on occasion and would probably be a really good film to watch after a few drinks. 6/10

SF: I'm confused, for me the physics makes no sense. But then I did fall asleep but I still sort of liked it so 6/10

50 Eggs: Oh this was great. The whole time I was thinking ' I hope they don't mess with the laws of physics here', but by the end it didn't matter. Surprise movie of the year for me. 9.5/10

DonkeyB: Trains; yay! [Spoiler alert] No radioactive material, oh wait actually maybe there was. Good. 7/10

Sucker Punch

SF: This movie was the "thrill ride" all the reviews promised it would be. The fight sequences were epic, the story total madness and the soundtrack a perfect compliment. Girls with swords and guns, seriously what's not to like! 7/10

50 Eggs: Wahey! All the ingredients are here for an ace boys film and it doesnt dissapoint. Mega action scenes. It's a shame a little more work wasnt done on the plot as it's almost really good. 8/10

SF: I was so bored in this whole film. I found myself feeling very sorry for the Rock, his chest is so huge he can't put his arms down - watch the part of him running out of prison. 3/10

Limitless

SF: Starts off at a decent pace and there are a few nice directorial touches like the fight scene in the subway but overall I found my mind wondering and kept checking how long was left 5/10

50 Eggs: Lots of potential (no pun intended) and lived up to it for parts, but ran out of ideas in the second half. 7/10

DonkeyB: We had bad seats, front row way over to the left. Somehow the google-eyed, crickedneckness helped I think. 6/10

SF: This had the potential to be great but as a whole the film was dull and lacked tension. It almost felt like I was watching a straight to video or made for TV movie. 5/10

DonkeyB: I loved this book. It was the first Michael Connelly I read, I've now read all of them. The film does not live up to that, but then how could it. Quite un-cinematic, disappointing. 5.5/10
